Mark Burrows-Smith is Chief Executive of REPIC, making him responsible for overseeing the UK’s largest WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment) producer compliance scheme to deliver WEEE, battery and packaging compliance solutions. Mark is also a board director of WEEE Europe, a joint venture of leading European take-back schemes for WEEE and batteries.
Prior to joining REPIC, Mark worked as Chief Operating Officer for Viridor, one of the UK’s largest waste, energy and secondary resource business, and was previously Chief Executive of Greenstar/Bioverda – Ireland’s largest waste management company prior to its sale.
With 20 years of experience in the waste and recycling sector, Mark is regularly requested to provide industry comment and insight to the UK Government on the Circular Economy.
