Randy Olson is a scientist-turned-filmmaker who is the 2020 recipient of the John P. McGovern Award for Excellence in Communication from the American Medical Writers Association.
He is the author of four books on science communication including Don’t Be Such A Scientist: Talking Substance in an Age of Style (Island Press, 2009) and Houston, We Have A Narrative: Why Science Needs Story (University of Chicago Press, 2015).
